The Philippines was rocked by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake, the National Earthquake Center reported, BTA reports.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located deep below the earth's surface, at a depth of 630 km off the coast of Mindanao.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) further refined the location of the epicenter, placing it approximately 106 kilometers from Mindanao's coastline.
As of the latest updates, there are no reports of damage or casualties as a result of this natural disaster.
