A Polish Air Force M-346 combat training aircraft crashed during a training exercise The 30th anniversary of the Naval Aviation Brigade of Gdynia at the brigade's air base at the Gdynia-Babije Doli Airport.
The fighter pilot is believed to have attempted a "loop-to-loop" or "barrel roll", but fails to complete it and hits the ground.
According to the Polish Air Force, the deceased pilot, Major Robert Jell, with about 2,000 flying hours, failed to eject and lost his life.
