Polish general: I see striking mistakes in the work of the Secret Service - 1

The former commander of Polish special forces "Thunder" Roman Polko, commenting on the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, sharply criticized the actions of the American secret services.

In an interview with the Nezalezhna.pl portal, the Polish general stated that the shortcomings in the security of the rally were visible even to the naked eye.

"In times of tense international situation, previously confirmed by the attempted assassination of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, the security services must act in accordance with the standards,” said Roman Polko. "I know the standards of work of the American services. I know that guarding buildings in the area where a sniper can be positioned is just standard. Such places are always checked before a visit and someone from the Secret Service is always present. This time the security at the rally did not meet these standards”.

The general continued that in the case of the officers covering former President Trump, flaws could also be found.

"The officers covered President Trump with their own bodies, but did not have a special briefcase with them to block the bullets. The president's head was not protected or covered in any way, noted the former head of "Thunder". "If officers must act without such a briefcase, they should pull President Trump out as quickly as possible in case a potential second attacker fires or if the first has not been incapacitated.

According to the Polish general, all these mistakes are even more striking, since Trump's visit to Pennsylvania was not a surprise and the former president did not violate his campaign program. The general believes that "the Americans should explain such serious omissions”.
