A Ukrainian drone hit a monastery in the Kursk region in Russia, reports "Reuters", quoted by News.bg.
The attack, which took place around 08:30 local time, resulted in the death of a 60-year-old parishioner.
Russian channel in "Telegram" reports that the drone fired eight projectiles at the Belogor Monastery "St. Nikolay" in the village of Gornal, near the Ukrainian border.
Ukrainian authorities have not commented on the attack.
Kursk Oblast, like other Russian border regions, is subject to frequent attacks by Kiev forces. On Tuesday, a drone attack on an electrical appliance factory in the town of Korenevo caused a fire, but no one was injured.
The men's monastery, founded in 1671, was the home of the writer Fyodor Dostoyevsky, who immortalized his conversations with the monks in the novel "The Brothers Karamazov".
In a previous attack on the monastery in August last year, a child was injured.
