Donald Trump: I lead by a large margin against Biden in every important state

Chinese President Xi Jinping endorsed him after the attack

Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he is leading current President Joe Biden “with a lot“ in every important state, but emphasized that he never says he will win for sure because Democrats “cheat like the devil”.

This was reported by the AP.

Trump said again that Democrats are “faking” the 2020 elections, but insisted he “will not allow them” to “fake them” this year. He added that he also leads the national polls “by a lot”.

The former president stated that the “sick, weak, pitiful“ Biden was unable to defeat his opponent, so he resorted to impeaching him. However, he praised the US justice system after a Florida judge dropped the classified documents case against him.

At a rally in Michigan, Trump said Chinese President Xi Jinping had written him a “beautiful note” after he was assassinated at a rally in Pennsylvania last week.

Trump called Xi “brilliant“ man and “fierce personality“ and noted that the US must have a president who can “protect” the country, unlike the current president, Joe Biden, who, according to him, had a “very low IQ”.

Trump said that “most world leaders” wrote to him after the shooting and insisted that he had “good relations with all of them”.

Donald Trump held his first campaign rally after the assassination attempt, appearing in front of his supporters in the state of Michigan together with newly elected vice presidential candidate JD Vance, BTA reported.

"That was exactly a week ago," Trump said of the July 13 shooting in Pennsylvania, in which he was wounded in the ear, one of his supporters was killed and two were wounded.

"I stand before you only because of the mercy of almighty God”, the Republican Party candidate addressed his supporters. "I shouldn't be here right now," he continued.

Trump was accompanied by Ohio Sen. JD Vance, marking the duo's first campaign appearance since announcing Vance's candidacy for vice president at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Michigan is one of several swing states expected to determine the outcome of November's presidential election. In 2016, Trump won that state by just over 10,000 votes. In 2020, however, Joe Biden turned the tide and won Michigan by 154,000 more votes than the Republican candidate.

Last week in Milwaukee, Trump appeared unusually restrained and emotional, but today he returned to his typical rally style and hurled insults at his Democratic rivals.

Hours before Trump took the stage, his supporters filled the streets of downtown Grand Rapids. People started lining up as early as Friday morning, and by Saturday afternoon it stretched nearly a kilometer from the entrance to the 12,000-seat Van Andel Arena. Many streets were closed for security reasons and there was a heavy police presence in the city.

The rally itself was held indoors, and everyone entering the hall had to pass through a metal detector.

One of the reasons Trump chose Vance as his vice presidential running mate was that he could help win over voters from the so-called "rust belt", including the states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Ohio. Vance specifically mentioned those places in his acceptance speech at the Republican convention in Milwaukee and recounted how he grew up poor in a small Ohio town. He promised not to forget working-class people whose "jobs were transferred overseas and children were sent to war.

One of the key topics that Trump commented on at today's rally was the candidacy of his opponent Biden. Trump and his team tried to paint the Democratic effort to replace Biden as a "coup.".

"At this very moment, Democratic Party bosses are frantically trying to rig the results of their own party's primaries to throw out… Joe Biden off the ballot," Trump said.
