NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has called on China to stop supporting Russia's war in Ukraine. This was reported by the Reuters agency.
He told journalists in Oslo that China has become a decisive factor in Russia's war against Ukraine. According to him, it is China that makes possible the production of many of the weapons that Russia uses.
Stoltenberg warned that Beijing's continued war-making in Ukraine could adversely affect its interests and reputation.
China has previously described similar statements made by NATO as "malicious" and biased.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in July that he does not want China, which has "limitless" partnership with Russia, to act as a mediator, but expressed hope that Beijing would put more pressure on Moscow to end the war.
