Bloomberg Poll: Kamala Harris Leads Donald Trump in Seven Key Swing States - 1

Vice President Kamala Harris has gained an advantage over Donald Trump in seven key swing states in the US, according to a Bloomberg poll. Harris is supported by 48% of voters, compared to 47% for Trump. This is a stronger performance than President Joe Biden's two-point gap with Trump before Biden dropped out of the race. Harris overtook Trump in Arizona and Nevada and significantly increased Biden's lead in Michigan, cited by Focus.

"The numbers show that Harris has a chance to assemble the coalition of voters that carried President Barack Obama to the White House, and offers a clearer path to victory than Biden, who has struggled to appeal to the Democratic base,“ explains Bloomberg.

Overall, in the swing states surveyed - Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin - the gap between the candidates is within the statistical error of the poll. At the same time, the publication writes, Harris may currently be enjoying a "honeymoon phase" — and she has yet to win over voters on some vital issues, notably her ability to handle the economy and immigration.

According to Bloomberg, Harris has sparked a wave of enthusiasm among young, black and Hispanic voters.

More than a third of voters in seven congressional districts say they are significantly more likely to vote now that the race is between Trump and Harris, rising to 49% and 44% among blacks and Hispanics, respectively. Nearly two-thirds of black voters say they are more or less likely to vote in November.

At the same time, Bloomberg notes, Biden's withdrawal has already affected Trump's campaign strategy.

"Trump, who has specialized in humiliation, is having difficulty defining his new rival without appearing racist or sexist and alienating voters in swing states," the publication writes.

Harris has significantly increased her overall trust rating among Americans in recent days after Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the election campaign.

Former US President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama have endorsed Kamala Harris' candidacy for the new head of the White House from the Democratic Party.
