At the Chinese Embassy the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was celebrated in Armenia, the Armenian news agency ARMENPRESS reported, quoted by BTA.
Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Chen Ming emphasized that the People's Liberation Army has made significant contributions to the creation and development of New China since its founding on August 1, 1927, and has played an important role in maintaining world peace and stability.
>"China is ready to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Armenia in all fields, including the field of security, and the two sides will raise bilateral relations to another level," Chen Ming said.
"China is firmly committed to an independent, self-sufficient and peaceful foreign policy, as well as safeguarding national security. Seventy years ago, faced with the horrors of hot wars and Cold War blockades, China proposed the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence. These principles were unanimously recognized by the international community and have since become widely accepted norms for regulating interstate relations."
Chen Ming stated that China supports a multi-polar world based on equality and discipline, advocates the reform and construction of the global governance system, supports comprehensive economic globalization, promotes the joint development of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. and realizes global initiatives in the field of development, security and civilization.
According to him, the Chinese and Armenian people value peace and strive for it. In the past 32 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, both Beijing and Yerevan have respected each other's sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, continuing to develop friendly cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit.
