Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video address published on the Internet the page of the Ukrainian presidency that by the end of the year it is possible to achieve a “just peace” in the country. At the same time, the head of state pointed out that it is of fundamental importance for Ukraine to minimize the time between the announcement of aid packages from abroad and their use on the front line, Ukrinform reported, BTA reported.
In his video address, Zelensky touched on the implementation of the Ukrainian formula for peace. “Negotiations are currently underway with the members of the working groups on the points of the peace formula – how and when we will provide the necessary content” for their implementation, the Ukrainian president said. “Our goal remains the same: to prepare a real basis for a just peace that will end the war this year. This is achievable, Zelensky pointed out.
„This morning the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov reported to me about the packages in support of Ukraine. It is an absolute priority to provide our soldiers with weapons, and I am grateful to all of our partners who truly deliver on time. We're really committed to minimizing the time between announcing packs and using them on the battlefield. Now we are preparing new packages that will strengthen Ukraine's position in the fall, Zelensky said.
He added that he also listened to a report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky, who is currently on the front line to determine the specific needs of the Ukrainian brigades and assess the situation in the various directions.
