The American NGO “World Central Kitchen“ (SCC) announced today that a Palestinian, an employee of its team in the Gaza Strip, was killed, Reuters reported, citing BTA.
The SCC identified the deceased as Nadi Salaut and said he was killed while on duty yesterday near the town of Deir al-Bala in the central part of the enclave. The organization said it was still gathering details about what happened.
The Israeli army said it was not aware of any such incident and added that it was in contact with the SCC.
"So far the Israeli army is not aware of any incident in which an employee of the organization was injured during his work in recent days,", the army said.
In a post on the social network “X“ The SCC described Salaut as "an integral part of our team from the first days we responded in Rafah and a philanthropist to the core".
On April 1, three Israeli airstrikes hit a convoy of humanitarian aid vehicles traveling through the Gaza Strip. In the attack, seven members of the SCC were killed, including citizens of the USA, Australia, Great Britain and Poland.
At the time, Israel explained that it had not deliberately targeted the aid workers and expressed regret for their killing.
