Democrat Kamala Harris leads with 42% ahead of Republican Donald Trump, who is garnering 37% support in the race for the US presidential election on November 5, according to an “Ipsos“ (Ipsos), published today, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
The poll found Harris widening her lead since July, when a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed her leading 37% to Trump's 34%.
The survey was conducted between August 2-7 nationwide among 2,045 American adults.
It also found that 4% of those polled supported independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. In July, support for him was 10 percent.
Harris entered the race on July 21 when 81-year-old President Joe Biden ended his campaign and endorsed her after a disastrous June 27 debate performance against Trump.
