New Russian tanks may reach the square in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin in response to the appearance of German armored vehicles in the composition of Ukrainian units that invaded the Kursk region. This was warned today by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, quoted by TASS, writes BTA.
The agency noted that his words were in response to a publication in the German newspaper “Bild”, which reported the new appearance of German tanks on Russian soil 80 years after the Second World War.
Medvedev described the publication, “which proudly announces the return of German tanks on Russian soil”, as vindictive. “In response, we will do everything to bring the new Russian tanks to the Republic Square (in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin)”, he wrote on the “X“ social network.
Newspaper “Bild“ reports that "Marder" armored vehicles are being used in the Ukrainian invasion of the Kursk region. So far, the German authorities have neither confirmed nor officially rejected this information, and the chairman of the Bundestag defense committee, Markus Faber, said that he does not see a problem in the use of German weapons in attacks on Russian territory, including Leopard tanks.
The massive attack by the Ukrainian army in the Kursk region began on August 6. An air alert signal was announced several times on the territory of the district.
As a result of the shelling and attacks, at least five people were killed and more than 60 people were injured, including nine children, TASS reported.
