Poland: NATO is skeptical of Zelensky's proposal to shoot down Russian missiles over Ukraine - 1

NATO countries are skeptical of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's proposal to shoot down Russian missiles over Ukraine. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Poland, Władysław Kosyniak-Kamis, in an interview with the RAR agency, as quoted by Focus.

"There is a lot of skepticism about this. No country will take such decisions”, declared Kosignac-Kamish.

He noted that he himself had not noticed supporters of the idea in NATO. At the same time, he recognizes the desire of the Ukrainian leader, stressing that this is part of his role.

The Minister of National Defense added that Poland's role is to make decisions in accordance with the interests of its country.

Previously, during a press conference, Zelensky stated that Poland will not shoot down missiles over Ukraine without NATO's support for such a decision.
