North Korea on Saturday sent more balloons , possibly carrying garbage, to South Korea.
This was reported by Yonhap, citing a statement from the South's military. It was made just three days after similar balloons were released in the south.
In a message sent to reporters at 10:26 p.m., the Joint Chiefs of Staff said the North's balloons could travel to a province that surrounds Seoul. The public is warned about falling objects and people are advised to report the balloons to the military or police.
On Wednesday, North Korea sent about 20 balloons, possibly carrying garbage, towards the South, but they failed to cross the military demarcation line.
We recall that since the end of May, the North has launched thousands of balloons carrying garbage in retaliation for anti-Pyongyang leaflets sent across the border by North Korean defectors and activists in South Korea.
Saturday's balloon campaign marks the latest in a series of provocations by North Korea this week.
On Thursday, the North fired multiple short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea, marking the first ballistic missile launch since July 1.
