Stoltenberg: Moscow is highly dependent on Beijing - 1

Moscow is highly dependent on Beijing in the established anti-Western axis, NATO Secretary General said Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with the "Times" newspaper, quoted by BNR.

Jens Stoltenberg, who will leave his post in October, said that Vladimir Putin will pay the price for his dependence on the “benefactor” Xi Jinping. The bloc's secretary-general pointed out that President Putin is uniting an authoritarian power axis of China, Iran and North Korea around his war in Ukraine, making Moscow increasingly dependent on Beijing.

„Russia is betting its future on Beijing and, of course, it is not getting it for free”, explained Jens Stoltenberg.

In the interview for “Times” he warned that after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Beijing, Moscow, Tehran and the hermit regime of Kim Jong-un in North Korea are becoming “increasingly linked”.

At the head of this union is President Xi, with China being the “decisive factor” for Putin, Stoltenberg said. China supports Russia's military economy and China supplies the components, microelectronics, microprocessors that Russia uses to build the missiles and bombs it uses in Ukraine, the former Norwegian prime minister added.
