Ukraine getting tacit permission for long-range strikes against Russia? - 1
Ukraine may receive secret permission to launch missiles against Russia in the coming weeks, dariknews.bg reported.

The United Kingdom and the United States are preparing to give the green light, but they want to officially announce this only after the launch of the first missiles, writes the British newspaper “Times”, which is referred to by the Ukrainian agency UNIAN. The publication's sources said the US wanted to first see Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's plan to help them survive the winter months of the war. The final decision could be approved at the UN General Assembly next week.

However, as the material says, there is "nervousness" in US President Joe Biden's team that this step could harm Kamala Harris' election campaign. For several months, Zelensky has been asking for permission to use missiles to strike deep into Russian territory. The media write that there is caution about publicizing this step in advance, as a warning to Russia.

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy held talks in Paris this week with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, as well as the foreign ministers of France, Germany and Italy. The allies have been working to reach an agreement before the UN General Assembly, journalists say. British diplomatic sources told the paper they wanted to show that NATO "acts as one" and to avoid the impression that the UK and US "dominate decision-making".
