The G7+ ministerial group published a joint statement on the sidelines of the General Assembly on Monday of the UN, in which he reaffirms his commitment to the energy security of Ukraine in response to the ongoing Russian missile and drone strikes, BNR reported.
"We, the G7+ Ministerial Group, have met within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly to reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's brutal and unjust attacks against Ukraine and its energy infrastructure", the group said.
The statement also emphasized the need for immediate and long-term support for Ukraine's recovery, including investment in energy infrastructure.
Furthermore, the G7+ called for the return of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to the control of Ukraine, emphasizing the need for safety, according to international standards.
