The Israeli army said it had intercepted a rocket fired from Yemen at a distance of about 2,000 km, on a day when Israel mourned the victims of the attack on October 7 last year, DPA reported. Air raid sirens once again rang out across central Israel, including Tel Aviv, forcing people to take shelter in bomb shelters, even as vigils were held for the victims of the attack by the Palestinian group Hamas, BTA quoted BTA as saying.

The Iran-backed Yemeni Houthi rebels, like “Hamas” and “Hezbollah”, later said through their spokesman Yahya Sinuar that they had attacked Israel with two missiles and drones targeting military sites in the Tel Aviv area.

Meanwhile, Israel was also under attack from the north, where the Shiite movement “Hezbollah“ fired 135 rockets from Lebanon. Some of the missiles were intercepted, and the rest fell in uninhabited areas. There are no reports of casualties or damage.

In addition to the attacks from Yemen and Lebanon, rockets were also fired from Gaza. As a result of the attack, two women were slightly injured by shrapnel, emergency services said.
