Third night in a row Odessa region is subject to drone attacks, Oleg Kiper, the chairman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, announced in the Telegram application, quoted by BTA.
The air alert was announced at 23:58 hours before midnight, and the standoff was given at 03:21 hours. According to the information of the Ukrainian Air Force, most of the drones that attacked Odesa region were shot down – 16 drones in total.
As a result of falling debris from a downed drone in Odesa region, the windows and facade of a nine-story residential building were damaged. Five people were injured, and three of them were hospitalized with moderate injuries, the regional governor informed.
Oleg Kiper's message states that a fire broke out on the attic floor of an unfinished building on an area of 400 square meters. A medical building was also damaged.
Over 150,000 Bulgarians live in Odesa region, and they are the third largest ethnic group according to the official census in Ukraine since 2001. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself, and the largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
