Kremlin denies claims of seven secret conversations between Trump and Putin - 1

The Kremlin today denied claims by American journalist Bob Woodward that Former US President Donald Trump had seven private phone conversations with Vladimir Putin, Russian media RBC reported, cited by Reuters and BTA.

The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, told RBC that Putin and Trump did not talk on the phone. The claims are part of Woodward's latest book, titled ``War,'' which states that Trump asked an aide to leave his office at the Mar-a-Lago residence so he could have a phone conversation with Putin.

„The Washington Post” notes that the book does not reveal what the two discussed, but quotes a Trump campaign official who questions the existence of such contacts.

According to the book, an unnamed Trump adviser claims the former US president may have spoken with Putin up to seven times since he left the White House in 2021.

The Trump campaign strongly rejected Woodward's claims, saying the book's contents were “fiction”, the New York Times reported.
