Netanyahu to Biden: I want to hit Iran's military sites - 1

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conveyed to the administration of US President Joe Biden , that he wants to strike military targets in Iran, not nuclear or oil facilities, The Washington Post reported.

According to the publication's sources, during a telephone conversation with Biden on October 9, Netanyahu said that he “plans to attack the military infrastructure in Iran”. According to the publication, this means that the Jewish state can take a “more limited retaliatory strike to prevent a full-scale war”.

On October 1, Iran launched a massive missile attack on Israel in response to the assassinations of key figures in the leadership of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, the Lebanese Shiite organization Hezbollah, and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (elite armed forces). Tehran claimed that 90 percent of the missiles hit their intended targets, but Israel countered that most of the 180 missiles were intercepted. The Israeli General Staff promised to respond to the attack, and Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, for his part, warned that attacks against the Jewish state will be even more large-scale.
