About 60 people are the subject of an investigation by the Milan Regional Directorate "Anti-Mafia", the anti-terrorism force and the Italian National Directorate “Antimafia“ because of an alleged unregulated and massive collection of confidential information from strategic databases, mostly about businesses in the country, sources from the judiciary told the Italian news agency ANSA today, BTA writes.
Those under investigation include entrepreneurs involved in gathering the information that was ordered by a hacking group, the sources said. According to prosecutors, the entrepreneurs were aware of the illegal act of gathering information. The prosecutor's office requested 16 arrests, and the preliminary investigation judge ordered house arrest for four and pretrial detention for two of those under investigation - a total of six arrests.
