Mexican journalist Patricia Ramirez was killed in a cafe in the center of the city of Colima, Reuters reported.< /p>
"According to initial investigative findings, the victim was in an establishment where she worked, and the alleged perpetrator arrived there and opened fire on her. At the scene of the crime, state police officers found a woman with serious injuries and later pronounced her dead, the Colima prosecutor's office said.
For the past 10 years, Ramírez has covered cultural and social events in Colima.
In June, the mayor of Cotija, Yolanda Sanchez Figueroa, was killed in the Mexican state of Michoacán, and a few hours before the local elections, candidate Quiceo Israel Delgado was killed.
