The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Russia's security chief, Dmitry Medvedev, said today that Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election is most likely bad news for Ukraine. However, he added that it is not yet clear how much Trump would reduce US financial support for Kiev, reports Reuters, quoted by BTA.
Republican Trump announced his victory in the election after the TV channel “Fox News“ predicted that he had defeated the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris. It will mark his political comeback four years after leaving the White House.
„Trump has one useful quality for us: as a businessman to the core, he does not like to spend money on different users, on stupid allies, on meaningless charity projects and on greedy international organizations,” wrote Medvedev in the social network “Telegram“.
He added that the Ukrainian authorities fall into the category of those that Trump would not want to spend too much money on.
„The question is how much they will get Trump to give money for war. He is stubborn, but the system is stronger”, Medvedev concluded.
