Russian airstrikes in southern Ukraine overnight killed at least five people and injured 19, including five children; fires were also caused in several buildings, the governors of two Ukrainian regions reported, quoted by "Reuters", quoted by BTA.
Four people died in Mykolaiv region, and one – in Zaporozhye region, where a residential building was destroyed, the regional governors of these regions reported in Telegram. Among the injured in Zaporozhye region are five children between the ages of 4 and 17.
"Reuters" is unable to verify the information through an independent source. Russia had no immediate comment.
Both sides say they do not target civilians in their attacks, but since the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. thousands of people died, mostly Ukrainians.
Russian air defense systems have destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones during the night, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced in Telegram. Twelve of them were destroyed over the Kursk region and one – over Belgorod Oblast, both bordering Ukraine.
