US President Joe Biden plans to hold a final meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping before the end of his term, reports Voice of America, quoted by Focus.
According to a senior White House official, Biden intends to raise the issue of Beijing's support for Russia and the participation of North Korean troops in military action in Ukraine.
Leaders will also discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation, the restoration of military-to-military ties, the joint fight against the global fentanyl crisis and the risks posed by artificial intelligence.
At the same time, the American president intends to express to China the "deep concern" of the US on Beijing's support for the war in Ukraine. The media source adds that Washington will have to find a way to improve relations with China.
"Russia, the Taiwan Strait, the South China Sea and cyber security are topics that the next administration will have to think about carefully, as these are areas of serious political disagreement with China, and I don't expect these issues to go away," adds the source.
