Aleksandar Vucic: Putin will not hesitate to use nuclear weapons - 1

Russian President Vladimir Putin will not hesitate hesitates to use nuclear weapons if Moscow is threatened. This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in a statement to the public last night, quoted by national TV RTS, quoted by BTA.

„If Moscow is threatened, I know the President of Russia Vladimir Putin well enough and I can say that he will not hesitate to use nuclear weapons,” Vucic stressed. He added that Ukraine's use of ATACMS missiles in Russia's Bryansk region would likely lead to Russian strikes against energy facilities and bridges on the Dnieper.

Yesterday, Ukraine struck an arsenal in the Bryansk region with US-supplied ATACMS missiles after receiving permission from the administration of US President Joe Biden. This happened on the eve of the thousandth day since the beginning of the war.

„I have always said that as a small country we should hide under a rock until the disaster passes. But I am not ashamed to say that negotiations for a truce and peace should begin as soon as possible. The further conflict will lead to a world catastrophe”, the Serbian president expressed concern.

Vucic pointed out that Serbia is not at all prepared for such a conflict, especially when it comes to bomb shelters. He specified that the country has bomb shelters with a capacity for 257,000 people, but it is necessary to work on adapting additional spaces to provide space for one million to one and a half million people.

The Serbian president emphasized that these actions were not the result of an expectation that Serbia would be a direct target, but because of the proximity of potential targets within a radius of 500 to 1,000 kilometers. In addition, Vucic said he ordered a 150 percent increase in the food reserves of the Serbian army.
