German Foreign Minister Analena Berbock said the Georgian government must fulfill protesters' demands for European integration . “Georgia's candidate status for joining the EU is a historic chance. The government must hear the voice of its country”, wrote Burbock on the social network "X".

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said Thursday that the ruling party “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia“ decided not to include in the agenda the issue of negotiations for accession to the European Union until the end of 2028. and refuse all budgetary subsidies from the community.

According to the head of the government, the reasons for this are constant blackmail from the EU regarding the initiation of a dialogue on joining it, requests to cancel several laws passed by the parliament, and calls to impose sanctions on the Georgian authorities.

Kobakhidze's statement caused dissatisfaction among some of the citizens who have been holding rallies near the parliament building for two days.
