Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi in a telephone conversation with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the terrorist attack on Syria part of a “conspiracy between the US and Israel” and called on Russia and the countries of the Middle East to neutralize it together.
"Recalling the responsibility of the international community to combat the terrible phenomenon of terrorism, the Iranian foreign minister called the recent attacks by terrorist groups in Syria part of an American-Israeli conspiracy to destabilize West Asia and stressed the need for more great vigilance and coordination on the part of Iran, Russia and countries in the region, especially Syria's neighbors, to neutralize this dangerous plot and counter the actions of terrorists in Syria and the region“, Iran's statement said.
