A gas cylinder exploded on the first floor of a 14-storey building in Istanbul, it was reported from the press office of the city manager.
"On Saturday around 07:30 local time, a gas cylinder exploded in the basement of a house in Beylikdüzü district. As a result of the incident, one person died and three were injured. The condition of the injured is stable, the press service said in a statement.
According to the television company TRT Haber, the explosion almost completely destroyed two walls of an apartment. A small fire broke out, which was quickly extinguished by firefighters. The explosion broke the windows of the house and damaged cars parked on the street.
