Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal assured Ukraine of Estonia's continuous support for it, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

Mihal made these assurances during his first visit to Kyiv as Estonian Prime Minister. He replaced Kaia Callas in July when she was nominated as the EU's number one diplomat.

Mihal announced that Estonia will provide Ukraine with military aid in the amount of around 100 million euros per year until 2027. The aid is equivalent to 0.25% of Estonia's annual gross domestic product.

Estonia, which is a member of NATO and the European Union, is calling on other allies to increase their military aid, Michal said.

„The Ukrainian state and the Ukrainian people can count on the support of Estonia right up to the victorious end of the war,” Michal said during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

During his meeting with Michal in Kiev, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal thanked Estonia for the military aid provided so far in the amount of almost 542 million euros since the beginning of the war in February 2022.
