Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that war and threats are what keep Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on his "throne", Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.
The head of state said this in his traditional evening video address to the nation, the Ukrainian agency specifies.
"Every time there are new Russian strikes on our country, we need - and this is an objective necessity - steps to show Putin that his terror will not work. He uses missiles instead of looking for ways to end the war. War and threats are what keep this man on the Russian "throne", the president said, quoted by Ukrinform.
"Today was one of the most massive Russian attacks on our energy sector. 94 missiles of various models - cruise and ballistic. 81 were shot down. There were also about 200 attack drones. In general, we see that the Russians want to overload our defense system, as they always do in such massive attacks. And they are specifically waiting for it to get cold to make people's situation even worse," Zelensky said.
In his opinion, this is deliberate, cynical Russian terror, Ukrinform adds.
Ukraine has attacked with drones the infrastructure of oil storage facilities in the Russian Oryol region, located centrally in the European part of Russia, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA, referring to a statement from the region's governor, Andrey Klychkov, today.

In his post on the "Telegram" application, Klychkov spoke of a "massive attack" on infrastructure that led to the ignition of fuel. Debris from downed drones broke windows in homes, he said.
