At least nine people, including women and children, were killed in Israeli shelling of the "Nusseirat" refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, DPA reported, quoted by BTA, citing the Palestinian news agency WAF.
Another 15 people were reportedly injured in the latest airstrike on the camp, located in the central part of the enclave.
The strike came after a separate Israeli strike in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza killed seven people, according to WAFA.
An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman said the reports were being investigated.
Five rockets were fired from the Beit Hanoun area into Israel earlier.
The IDF spokesman called on residents of areas northwest of Gaza City to seek refuge in the city center.
According to Palestinian sources, since the start of the war in Gaza, which began after an unprecedented attack on Israel by the Palestinian movement “Hamas“ as of October 7, 2023, the death toll in the coastal enclave is more than 45,500.
