US President-elect Donald Trump has announced that Fox News journalist Tammy Bruce will become the new State Department press secretary.
“I am honored to announce that Tammy Bruce will join Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio as State Department spokesperson,“ Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday.
“Tammy is a longtime media professional who has spent more than two decades reporting the truth to the American people. I am confident that she will bring the same strength of conviction and fearlessness of spirit to her new position."
The current position of press secretary of the US Department of State is held by Matthew Miller.
Trump nominated Roman Pipko, who previously headed the Russian-American Enterprise Fund, to the post of US ambassador to Estonia.
“I am pleased to announce that I am nominating Roman Pipko to be the new United States ambassador to Estonia. Roman was born and raised in Estonia and has significant experience working with foreign governments,“ Trump said.
Pipko previously represented US interests at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and also headed the Russian-American Enterprise Fund, which in 1995 was merged with the Russian Fund for the Support of Large Enterprises into the American Investment Fund in Russia. It was closed in 2008.
“Roman has represented American companies in negotiations on projects in Mongolia, Africa, Russia, Western Europe and his native Estonia“, added the newly elected US leader.
