The Israeli army launched a series of special operations in the occupied West Bank today, killing at least three Palestinians, the Associated Press reported. The Israeli forces said the three killed were militants, BTA reports.
A statement from the Palestinian armed group "Hamas" confirmed that one of its veteran commanders, Jaafar Dababsa, was killed in the operation. Israel also reported that one of its soldiers was wounded during the operations.
The special operations were carried out a day after an attack in the northern West Bank, in which three Israelis were killed when a bus was shot.
Meanwhile, the war between Israel and "Hamas" in the Gaza Strip continues with great intensity. Although there has been recent progress in negotiations to achieve a ceasefire and release Israeli hostages, the end of the conflict is still not in sight, sources note.
