The Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" said that the next group of Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip will be released on Saturday as planned, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"Hamas" made the statement after a representative of the movement said that the hostages would be released a day later than expected.
"Hamas" is planning to release the Israeli hostages, who number more than 90, in the coming weeks as part of a complex Gaza ceasefire agreement reached this month.
The Islamist movement said the next group of hostages would be released on Saturday in exchange for Palestinian prisoners and Palestinians held by Israel.
Earlier, the representative of "Hamas" Nahed al-Fakhuri said the hostages would be released on Sunday.
Four hostages are expected to be released on Saturday, seven days after the ceasefire agreement came into effect.
This month, Israel and Hamas agreed to a three-phase ceasefire. The ceasefire took effect on Sunday, with Hamas releasing three Israeli hostages. Israel has released Palestinian prisoners and Palestinian detainees.
