The Ukrainian city of Nikolaev was attacked by seven drones this evening, the chairman of the Nikolaev regional military administration, Vitaly Kim, announced in the "Telegram" application, BTA reported.
According to his information, damage was caused to apartment blocks, there were also fires. All law enforcement agencies are working on the scene. No injuries have been reported so far.
Air raid sirens were activated from 9:12 p.m. to 11:16 p.m.
According to the last census in Ukraine in 2001, the Bulgarian community in the Nikolaev region is about 5,600 people. The Bulgarians live compactly in the Ternovka district, located within the boundaries of the regional Ukrainian city of Nikolaev. The first Bulgarian settlers founded the Bulgarian settlement of Ternovka near the city of Nikolaev in 1802.
Russian air defenses destroyed 7 Ukrainian drones last night over the Crimean peninsula, annexed by Ukraine in 2014, as well as over the southern Rostov region of Russia, the Defense Ministry in Moscow announced, quoted by Reuters and BTA.
According to the statement of the Russian department, in addition to the seven Ukrainian drones destroyed over the Crimean peninsula, another 9 drones were shot down over the Rostov region.
There are no reports of casualties or damage so far.
