Espionage charges: Bulgarians in Britain planned anti-Ukrainian propaganda - 1

Bulgarians accused in Britain of spying for Russia were instructed to organize a disinformation campaign against Ukrainian troops in major European cities. This became clear during the trial against five of our compatriots, which is being held at the Central Criminal Court in London, Nova TV reported, reports News.bg.

The aim of the campaign was to distribute propaganda materials such as stickers and posters in large volumes. According to messages exchanged between the defendants, preparations were underway to print 5,000 posters depicting Ukrainian soldiers in Nazi uniforms.

The materials were to be posted in key locations in major European capitals, with the aim of creating the impression that Ukrainian soldiers defending their homeland were actually thugs committing murder.

The campaign was prepared just six weeks after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

During the trial, it became clear that the defendants had worked in collaboration with other Bulgarians residing in neighboring European countries.
