NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte confirmed on Monday the need to strengthen support for Ukraine, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Rutte stressed that it was of utmost importance that Russia did not win the war, as such a scenario would allow Russian President Vladimir Putin to congratulate himself on his success alongside the leaders of North Korea and China.
“We really need to strengthen, not weaken, our support for Ukraine“, Rutte said during a discussion on Ukraine at the World Economic Forum in Davos. He added that the front line was moving in the wrong direction, which required urgent action.
