Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sided with American businessman Elon Musk after he made a controversial gesture by repeatedly raising his right hand during a speech at an event on the day of Donald Trump's inauguration.
"Elon Musk is slandered. "Elon is a great friend of Israel," the Israeli Prime Minister wrote on the social network X.
Netanyahu recalled that the American businessman visited Israel after the Hamas attack and repeatedly "supported Israel's right to self-defense."
“Thank him for that“, the politician summed up.
Musk made a gesture reminiscent of a Nazi salute during his speech at Trump's inauguration ceremony.
Later, the billionaire commented that such attacks have "outlived their usefulness." He also recalled an old post in which he said that the Democratic Party would launch a campaign against him for switching to the Republican camp.
