The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that he is not looking for a successor to whom he could transfer power in Belarus. His words are reported by BelTA.
„I am not looking for this successor. But for now we live with these elections. „We will think about it after the elections“, Lukashenko said.
Earlier, Lukashenko said that the enemies of Belarus with the participation of the "Kastus Kalinovsky" regiment and NATO troops are preparing to enter the territory of the republic with the help of a military contingent. He added that Minsk has documents confirming the preparation for the operation.
The idea of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to deploy the Russian medium-range ballistic missile "Oreshnik" on the Russian border near Smolensk is related to the security of the union state, believes the deputy chairman of the State Duma defense committee Yuri Shvitkin, Lenta.ru reported.
"Oreshnik" will be placed where it is necessary to ensure the security of the union state. Of course, the decision will be made based on the agreements of the leaders.
„The position of the missile must be classified as secret. I do not want to go into any deadlines, but now Russia is doing everything necessary to ensure the security of the union state together with Belarus. This could be "Oreshnik" or other means that will be located there. But the fact that today there are armed gangs on the borders of Belarus, there are plans of NATO countries that are plotting aggressive intentions towards the union state - of course, this pushes us to the need to ensure the security of the union state by all available means, including "Oreshnik", he said.
As Alexander Lukashenko stated, the "Oreshnik" missile system will be deployed near Smolensk. According to him, these complexes will arrive in the country from Russia in the near future.
Meanwhile, it became clear that Lukashenko instructed the security forces to establish the identities of the participants in the rally in Warsaw against the presidential elections in Belarus. This was reported by the Telegram channel BelTA.
The special services will look for participants with ties to Belarus.
„We hinted that their relatives, parents, families and friends live here. They will simply disappoint their people," Lukashenko said.
He also added that the event was not "as massive" as Western media, which have repeatedly "caught up in fakes", portrays it.
"Everything that was said about the rally is a lie. I know how this rally was prepared. There was no rally there because Trump did not give the money," Lukashenko concluded.
According to Euroradio, a 250-meter white-red-white flag was unfurled at the procession. Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Pavel Latushko and other opposition representatives participated in the action.
