“We emphasize that the Palestinian people will never abandon their land or their holy places, and we will not allow a repetition of the catastrophes of Al-Nakba of 1948 and 1967. Our people will remain steadfast and will not leave their homeland“, the document emphasizes.
“Al-Nakba“ is what the Palestinians call the events that followed the proclamation of the state of Israel on May 14, 1948. and are causing a massive exodus of Palestinians from their lands. On January 25, US President Donald Trump said that he considered it possible to resettle Gaza residents who have lost their homes as a result of the ongoing Israeli military operations in Arab countries. According to him, this would mean 1.5 million people who would need to be resettled outside the Gaza Strip. Trump added that he had already discussed the issue with Jordanian King Abdullah II and would raise the issue during telephone conversations with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on January 26.
