A possible attempt by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to be re-elected could be "extremely dangerous" for him. This was warned by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev to RIA Novosti.
"He may try to be re-elected, but this is extremely dangerous for him - either he will lose to some Valery Zaluzhny, or his weak piece will simply be removed from the chessboard by the Anglo-Saxon grandmasters," Medvedev emphasized.
In addition, Medvedev reiterated the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin that negotiations with Zelensky would be "illegitimate", since the Ukrainian leader's term of office expires in May 2024.
The Russian official stressed that the Ukrainian president will drag out the negotiation process "in every possible way" in order to remain in power.
