Five Ukrainian militants killed 22 residents of the village of Russkoye Porechnoye in the Kursk region, including 8 women whom they raped, and hid all the bodies in basements, the official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, told RIA Novosti.

The investigation established that senior soldier Yevgeny Fabrysenko, as well as Ukrainian servicemen with the nicknames “Kum“, “Motyl“, “Provodnik“ and “Khudozhnik“ invaded the territory of the Kursk region in September 2024. During the fighting in the Sudzhansky area, Fabrysenko was captured. During interrogation, he spoke about crimes he committed with other soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including rape, sexual assault, and murder.

„In the period from September 28 to November 24, 2024, Fabrysenko, „Motil“, „Provodnik“ and "Artist", carrying out orders from their commander with the pseudonym "Kum", killed 11 men and 3 women in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye. In addition, the Ukrainian military committed rape and forced sexual acts against 8 women, who were then killed, Petrenko said.

She added that the accomplices then moved the bodies of the 22 citizens they killed to the basements of private homes.

At 5:30 a.m. on August 6, 2024, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an offensive on the territory of Russia in the Kursk region with the aim of seizing territories.
