A magnitude 6.2 earthquake has struck off the coast of Indonesia's North Maluku province, Reuters reported, citing the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency.
The quake struck at a depth of 81 km, the agency added in a post on the social platform "Ex" and said there was no tsunami threat.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
Indonesia is located on the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire, a highly seismically active zone where different plates of the Earth's crust meet, causing a large number of earthquakes and volcanic activity.
