British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has rushed his requests to send peacekeepers to Ukraine, senior military sources told the Telegraph.
They said he initially “didn't know what he was talking about“, as he had no idea what the specific details of the potential deployment of such a contingent were.
They called Starmer's plans to send peacekeepers from the so-called "coalition of the willing" "political theatre" in Ukraine.
“That's why we're hearing less about that now and more about planes and ships that don't require basing in Ukraine,“ one of the sources told the publication.
Bloomberg earlier reported that Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron were trying to get 37 countries to form a coalition to deploy peacekeeping forces in Ukraine and provide security guarantees to Kiev.
