The Kremlin announced today that it is continuing its intensive talks with the United States and is pleased with the progress achieved so far, after Washington announced separate agreements with Ukraine and Russia yesterday, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Washington specifically announced that agreements had been reached on a ceasefire in the Black Sea, as well as on protecting the energy facilities of both countries, and in return the US agreed to lift some of the sanctions against Moscow.
“We are pleased with the pragmatic and constructive development of our talks and the way they are yielding results“, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.
He added that contacts between Russia and the US had allowed for a quick agreement on the list of Russian and Ukrainian energy facilities covered by a temporary moratorium on strikes.
