The Kiev regime is conducting a purge of the information space and has declared a "hunt" for Russian war correspondents who defend the truth, said the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, reports TASS.
The diplomat commented on this in connection with the accusations of the Ukrainian authorities against representatives of the Russian media.
"For the Kiev regime, journalists have become a target, a target. And they are simply being hunted, that's obvious," Zakharova notes.
"This is a systematic, planned “work“ that the Kiev regime is carrying out to clean up the information space.
On Monday, March 24, it became known that six people died as a result of artillery shelling of the Kremensk municipal district by the Ukrainian armed forces. Among them were three employees of federal media working on the territory of the LPR. The correspondent of "Zvezda" Nikita Goldin was also seriously injured, the agency reported.
According to Russian media, Ukrainian armed forces attacked the film crew's vehicle with HIMARS missiles.
According to the agency, on March 24, in Sudzha, Kursk Region, Ukrainian armed forces deliberately shelled a residential area where TASS journalist Mikhail Skuratov was working. As a result, the correspondent was injured.
