The British publication The Spectator advised Zelensky to "be careful what you wish for" after his comments about Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The authors of the publication commented on Zelensky's interview with Eurovision News, in which he said that "everything will end" when the Russian president dies.
The publication pointed out that rumors about Vladimir Putin's alleged illnesses are unfounded and spread by the yellow press; their appearance shows that both Kiev and the West are experiencing “helplessness and hope”. At the same time, Zelensky may regret his words after Putin's eventual death, as his successor is unlikely to give up the territories, but he could make a deal that "throws Kiev under the bus."
“Zelensky should be careful what he wishes for,” the author of the article concludes.
