The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas will visit Montenegro, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina from 7 to 9 April as part of her first visit to the Western Balkans, the EU External Action Service announced, as quoted by the Serbian publication NIN and BTA.
During the visit to Podgorica, Kallas will meet with Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić on Monday. She will also have meetings with representatives of civil society and participate in an event organized by the Ministry of Defense. A joint press conference with Spajic is also planned.
The following day, Kallas will meet with Albanian President Bajram Begaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana. After the press conference with Rama, Kallas will hold talks with Minister for European and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani and Minister of Defence Piro Vengu, opening the first session of the EU-Albania Security Dialogue.
Kaja Kallas will also attend the signing of a loan agreement with the European Investment Bank for the construction of a railway line from Durres to Rogozina and will address students and representatives of the non-governmental sector in Tirana.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kallas will hold talks with representatives of the EUFOR mission, members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the President of the Council of Ministers Borjana Krsto and Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković.
